Reflection: "Going Bananas"
This assignment was to draw from life any object and make it
look 3D. We were only to use pencil, but other than that we could
do whatever we wanted to. I drew one large banana for the center.
I traced it on to a piece of cardboard and then cut it out and pasted the
image of the banana on to it. I did this to add to the effect of it looking 3D.
After wards, I drew a smaller banana and then traced it nine times. The arrangement of these bananas along with one big banana was inspired by Andy Warhol's work.
I was working on this project during a time when I was very stressed
out and overwhelmed. I literally felt like I was "Going Bananas". That is what
made me think of one of my favorite shows The Rachel Zoe project. Rachel is know for using the phrase "Going Bananas" very often. I thought that it was clever and it gave me the idea for the title of this project. Below I have a video that is a parody of Rachel using her famous catch phrase "bananas".
